Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House is known for our USDA Prime Certified steaks and epic desserts, but there’s so much more on the menu to love! Looking for a great recommendation? Take it from our wonderful staff. They know the flavors and quality of our award-winning menu like no one else. Read on to see which menu items our staff can’t get enough of.

 

John, Restaurant Manager:  Crab Cake 

John’s favorite pick on the menu is the classic take on the Crab Cake. “The crab cake is smooth, creamy, rich and full of lump crab meat.” And he can’t forget the hot pink mayo for dipping the crab cake!

 

Dom, General Manager & Joey, Sous Chef: Bacon Wrapped Scallops 

Dom and the Chef Joey Vento both rave about the Bacon Wrapped Scallops. But who wouldn’t? The two of them love the tender day boat scallops with crispy bacon and the chef’s delicious brown butter sauce. A great start to a meal!

 

Larry, Restaurant Manager: Cajun Chicken & Crab 

Larry Gardner, the restaurant manager knew exactly which dish to choose. The Cajun Chicken and Crab. He explained, “This entree has everything you need on one plate; chicken, pork, crab and rice. It’s the perfect balanced meal.”

 

Madeline, Hostess: Watermelon Caprese

The Watermelon Caprese salad from the starter menu is Madeline’s go to. With fresh mozzarella, basil, watermelon, and balsamic reduction, it’s the perfect dish for her. In her words, “refreshing, sweet and crisp.”

 

Myasia, Food Runner: Filet Sliders 

Myasia had to choose the Filet Sliders. She absolutely loves the juiciness of the steak with the bread and the maître d. butter. This dish comes with 3 of these delicious sliders leaving any guest fully satisfied!

 

Nicole, Busser: Sunrise Burger 

“Breakfast and lunch all on one bun. Delicious and Juicy.” Nicole’s go-to dish is the Sunrise Burger. A hearty burger topped with a fried egg, salty bacon, delicious cheddar, served with fresh cut fries. It’s the perfect start to a Sunday Funday!
